Great Quality, or so I thought.... April 17, 2010 W. Guan (AZ, USA) Bought this one for my parents for X-mas 2008 since they don't have an HDTV. They don't watch too much TV since they work constantly. They might use it about 15-20 hours a week. So the TV has been great for them until just after 1 year and 2 months later the internal Power Supply Unit died. Don't you just love warranties!?
If it wasn't for the breakdown I'd rate it an overall 4 star as the TV itself produce some good visuals although not as great as my Toshiba 1080P LCD....maybe I should of got my parents the same since mine is now over 3 years old and I use this thing constantly for gaming, movies, and even as a PC monitor via DVI to HDMI cable.
TV good, delivery service bad January 19, 2009 Jacqueline Stack 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This TV is very nice: good picture, easy setup. The delivery was very poor. It was much more challenging to arrange a delivery time as the delivery company was pretty dense. The TV was delivered on a large pallet and the delivery person refused to even remove the box from the pallet for my wife so that the TV could be moved indoors. I definitely would question using this vendor again due to their poor choice in delivery companies.
Best deal...Fo real! October 15, 2008 Robert Rucker Hill (Big D, Tejjas) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Yes...I did my due diligence... I scanned the web, hit the stores and this was the true 'Best Buy' out there. I needed a TV that was better than the one that did not work and I was not looking for the latest and greatest to "one up" my friends.
What I was looking for was a good working TV that would last longer than it would take for me to pay it off...Which pans down to mean low cost and a strong reputation for manufacturing solid TV's...and this one hit the target dead-on. I got the best price on Amazon.com from the warehouse. Go ahead and search for yourself. You'll be right back.
HD stands for "Huge Difference" September 5, 2008 Shawn Hazen (Chicago, IL USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
We were woefully unprepared for how crappy normal TV would look. That's a compliment to this excellent TV (and HD in general) but it meant we had to scrap our digital cable and get DirecTV. We also didn't have the right cables to hook up all our stuff. But all that's our fault. We just got the thing because my 10-year-old 32" block was kind of an embarrassment. This was one of the better prices for a name brand HDTV, though it was more than we needed to spend. I think it was worth it, though, because we have no complaints about the color, picture quality, or features. It was easy to figure out once it was hooked-up. And the design is clean and not as gaudy as some others. I'd highly recommend it if you're ready to make the jump to HD. Just be ready for the surprise, and to shell out some more dough for new cable and new cables.
Sweet Buy July 21, 2008 Falkingood (Pennsylvania) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This TV has a beautiful picture. I bought a Samsung because the vividness of color was unmatched in the sets I looked at. My only regret is that I mounted it above my fireplace and wish it was a 46" or 50". A TV a bit larger would have been nicer there. At this point though for $899 I couldn't go wrong. This will probably end up in the gameroom as I replace my tubes one by one. Nice buy!
